Tuscany wedding in Chianti.

Back in Tuscany again for another September wedding and this was another beautiful and unique day for everyone. Wedding photography in Italy is easy on days like this!

The day started with the brides preparations at the villa, with the large rooms and beautiful antique furniture we managed to get lots of great shots here.

And while the girls finished getting ready the groom and his best man were at the ceremony location in San Donato making the last preparations.

San Donato in Tuscany is a very typical Tuscan old town set up in the hills with winding streets and little bars where the wedding guests could congregate and have a drink together before the ceremony.

And what could be more Italian than a Vespa!

Once the guests were all in place in the Piazza the bridal party made their entrance.

The ceremony was held in the doors of the town hall so all the guests could sit outside in the fantastic weather while the bride and groom took centre stage in front of them.

This worked out really well for me as it mean't I could photograph discreetly from inside the town hall doorway but still be close enough to pick out all the small details of the moment.

The ceremony was very personal to the couple with their own vows and little touches.

And then afterwards while the guests made their way back to the villa we had a few minutes to wander a few of the back streets and get some nice intimate photographs.

Being around lunchtime meant that all was quiet in the town and we could find plenty of empty streets to photograph in.

And finally we got some nice natural shots as they made their way back to the wedding car.

Back at the villa and once everyone had some time to chat with the bride and groom we went off to get some shots that really showed off the beauty of the Tuscan countryside.

And coming in autumn meant that we were getting some fantastic colours as a backdrop.

Below was one shot the bride and groom were really keen to get when we did a walk around the day before to choose the photography locations.

And to finish we took a look wander into the vines,

and into the olive trees.

Drinks were served outside so that the wedding party could enjoy the sunset.

And as the evening drew in the wedding guests headed inside for the wedding breakfast.

Afterwards we were back outside for the cutting of the cake and the tossing of the bouquet.

This was a really enjoyable days work for me, some great locations to photograph in Tuscany and a wedding  couple that were a pleasure to work with.
